Dr Hosein Hajmohamadi

Head of Islamic Social Sciences Department

The Department of Islamic Social Sciences was established with the objective of enhancing both the cognitive and ethical dimensions of the social sciences, while attending to indigenous and civilizational concerns. Relying upon over three decades of deliberate groundwork and meticulous planning, the department ultimately commenced its activities in 2012 by admitting students into two programs: "Social Knowledge of Muslims" and "Philosophy of Social Sciences." Since that time, the program in Social Knowledge of Muslims has been offered at both the master's and doctoral levels, while the Philosophy of Social Sciences program has been offered at the master's level, with both operating within the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Tehran.
