Internationalization is a recent strategy by the Faculty to improve its academic activities to align itself on par with its counterparts around the world. The Faculty attempts to expand its academic relations in the international arena with renowned academic institutions.

Another plan by the Faculty endeavours to create interactional relationship between education and research within the Faculty as well as to create collaborations with academic associations, industries, businesses, and relevant organizations. The Faculty also avails itself of virtual space and electronic teaching as a major strategy to make headway.

International students:

There are more than 2800 international students from 50 nationalities currently enrolled in different programs from the Bachelor's to PhD levels and non-degree certificates (Persian language etc.) offered by UT, of which the Faculty of Social Sciences hosts around 100 students and researchers.
